I decided that I need to draw more. I know that this isn't a drawing, but it sort of is ... and one of my favorite things to do it to hand letter things. So, a new goal for myself: draw, illustrate or hand draw something once a week.

A friend sent me this photo. I have no idea where it is, but I know it's here in Washington. Really!? I think I need to be there, even if it's just for a few minutes. Beautiful. Colorful. Outside! Oh man.

I snapped this photo a few weeks back when Eva and I were headed to DC. There is something about it that makes me really happy. Maybe it's because it's a crappy photo that somehow ended up feeling serene? Or maybe it's the muted colors that I like? Or maybe I don't need to have a reason for liking it -- I just do!
